Scott Daniels article, “The Structure of Tomorrow” (2011), asserts that the structure of a building can do much more than simply support the building. It can create the form of a building and inform the occupant’s direction of travel as well as the intended activity of a space. Mr. Daniels used historical references as well as first hand evidence to support his statement. He re-evaluated the purpose of a structure in order to create a new design methodology. Daniels speaks to design professionals and potentially students of design.
