Mark Jarzombek and Alfred Hwangbo, in their journal article, “Global in a Not-So-Global World” argues that the modern and traditional styles of architecture are not being properly related on a global scale. Jarzombek and Hwangbo supports their argument by explaining that architecture has become focused more on solving a national problem, straying away from the idea of a total globalized solution. The author’s purpose is to point out the architectural split between modern and traditional styles in order to create a more unified architecture, influencing cultures on a global scale. The authors write in a formal tone for architectural professionals.
